Discussion Groups

Why?

Many of our Jewish supporters have been reaching out to us wanting to get active and meet like-minded people. We have an extensive contact list and can put people in touch.

What have we been hearing?

People want to create new spaces for open, honest and critical Jewish discussion about Israel, Palestine, Zionism and Jewishness. We are beyond frustrated that our mainstream Jewish institutions don’t provide us with these spaces.

What you can do

Sign up to help create new Jewish spaces! This is an opportunity to have the kind of conversations that so many of us are wanting to have.

If you’re willing to be a facilitator/convener/host this would involve working out time, date, venue and inviting some people along. How often you meet, what format it takes, and who else you invite is entirely up to you!

Role of the Jewish Council

We’ll provide you with some basic guidance on how this could work. These won’t be official Jewish Council groups but we’ll help connect people, and provide some reading suggestions through our monthly newsletter.
